Wanda Riehl
Natural Health Consultant
My journey began in Aberdeen Mississippi the day I was born and has led me to many places across the United States. I love to travel and I guess in a way my parents did too because we moved many times by the time I was 5 years old finally settling in the little town of Zion in northern Illinois. I was a quiet, shy child but there was always the love of adventure deep within me and the excitement of discovering new things and places and I still love to travel and discover beautiful scenes, towns and meeting people from all walks of life.
Having lived in many different places the one thing I have found is that people are the same everywhere and we all actually want the same things. We want to be happy, healthy and prosperous and we want the same for our families and friends. It all comes down to one thing, without our health the happy and prosperous part is hard if not impossible to attain and that's what this website is based on, discovering and attaining good health, happiness and prosperity.
My belief in and use of natural medicine started in my early 20's after the birth of my first child. My daughter was not well from the beginning and the doctors could not tell me what was wrong until she was about three years of age when they finally diagnosed her with severe allergies. After several years of going through many different treatments including medications with horrible side effects, allergy shots, etc (none of them were successful) I finally got fed up and started looking for another way to help my daughter. That's when I discovered the natural way of healing and was finally able to help my daughter overcome her allergies and regain her health and I have gone on to study natural health practices for over 35 years.
My dream as a child was to become a doctor but as I grew up, graduated from high school, fell in love and got married I put those dreams aside and eventually started a family. Life was very busy and there just didn't seem to be a way for me to go to medical school so I put those dreams away until my kids were older, but life has a way of getting in the way of dreams, if we let it, and I have to say that I fell into that trap and have spent most of my life working at jobs I didn't enjoy just to make a living and pay the bills instead of making a plan to create the life I really wanted.
The medical degree I had hoped for has not been achieved yet, but thirty five years plus of on going study in Natural Medicine has been of great benefit to myself, my family and many others and I continue to share my knowledge with anyone who seeks to improve their health and life and will continue to do so as I firmly believe that this is my purpose, my ministry and God's calling on my life.
Turning 60 was a turning point for me as I realized that I either create the life I have always wanted or I go on living the life that just happened. Making changes in your life is not easy, but can be very rewarding and it takes time, effort and commitment to really understand what you "really" want and then to create a plan to get there. I call this plan a "Healthy Living Plan" and it helps keep me on track, especially during times of stress and/or when things are not going the way I thought they would and I start to lose sight of my goals. I now teach others how to create their own "Healthy Living Plan" and you can benefit from my own experiences and learn how to live the kind of life you yearn for, the life you dream of.
My faith in God and trusting Him to lead me, care for me and love me has always been a guiding force in my life, even during the hard times. When I would struggle with life's challenges and ask "why?" or would become discouraged and walk away and think that God had forgotten about me I would always come back sometimes in a few days, weeks or months and there have even been times when I strayed away from God for years before I came crawling back and asking God for forgiveness.
I came to understand that God had not walked awayfrom me, it was me who walked away from Him because God had not moved and all I needed to do was just to turn around and He was always standing there with open arms, unconditional love for me in His heart and eyes and forgiveness for my sins. God never changes, only we as human beings change and as we live life with its many ups and downs, struggles, joys and heartbreaks we can hold on to God's unchanging love, compassion and forgiveness.
God has blessed me tremendously and I share all that He has given with those who are seeking truth and have been led to create an organization to help those who are struggling. Blessed and Restored is just beginning and the need is great so please pray for this ministry as we go forward in faith that God will bring together those who are needed to do the work, donate the money, time and services needed to help the ones who are so desperately in need. If you would like to help then please visit our website at www.blessedandrestored.org and thank you for whatever help you can offer.
We strive to help everyone live to the best of their potential so please join us as we work together to create a global awareness of all the unnecesary suffering of humankind living in a sick and toxic world environment and what we as the keepers of our planet can do on a daily basis to implement lasting change and stop the damage we are doing to ourselves and our planet. God gave us this planet to take care of and I think we have forgotten that.
Won't you join me in living a
healthier, happier and more prosperous life?
